Understanding Instant Adhesives

Instant adhesives are cyanoacrylate-based formulas designed for strong, fast-acting bonds in both industrial and household applications. Generally, they are acrylic resins that polymerize quickly in the presence of moisture, forming long and robust chains that bond surfaces together.

Cyanoacrylate adhesives should be applied thinly, with pressure held on the bond for a few seconds to ensure the reaction progresses quickly and forms a strong bond within a reasonable time.
