The 3M™ 94CA High Strength Post-Formable Adhesive is one of our most versatile solvent-based adhesives for rubber and gasket bonding. This adhesive bonds neoprene, reclaimed rubber, SBR, and butyl to metal, wood, and most plastics. It offers excellent heat and water resistance, performing at temperatures up to 300°F/148°C. The 3M™ 94CA High Strength Neoprene Gasket and Rubber Adhesive dries quickly, providing time for positioning and adjustments without slowing down workflow.

Applying the Adhesive

Whether sprayed, brushed, or rolled on, applying the 3M™ 94CA High Strength Post-Formable Adhesive is straightforward. Start by carefully applying the adhesive to your surface until a uniform layer is achieved. Using an overlapping pattern, a single coat should suffice for most surfaces. Effective adhesive coverage is achieved when 80% or more of the surface is coated. Some substrates, such as porous materials, may require an additional coat. To apply extra adhesive, simply wait until the existing layer is dry to the touch before proceeding with the next coat.
