Plastic Backed Disc

The 3M™ Cubitron™ II 775L Sanding Disc is ideal for light material removal and surface finishing applications where speed, final finish, and performance are critical.

These discs are excellent for a wide range of centered applications, mainly focused on material removal, and are effective on a variety of substrates, including metals, composite materials, gel coat, and whitewood. The film backing provides greater tear resistance than paper discs, offering enhanced durability and better edge retention. For optimal results, use them with 3M™ Elite random orbital sanders.

3M offers a complete line of 3M™ Hookit™ discs with a hook and loop system for workspaces where adhesive-backed discs can be contaminated with dust or dirt. These discs are typically used in applications where a 3M™ Stikit™ disc might be too aggressive, as Hookit™ discs tend to leave finer finishes than adhesive-backed discs. The Hookit™ sanding discs securely attach to a hook and loop-backed disc pad (sold separately), can be easily removed in one piece without hassle, and can be reused repeatedly until the abrasive’s lifespan is complete.

Sanding paper discs cut better and last longer when the dust isn’t clogging the cutting surface of the abrasives. Our patented multi-hole pattern in low-dust sanding products removes dust more quickly than products with 5 or 6 holes. This hole design doesn’t require alignment with the pad’s holes, making disc changes quick and easy. The open-coat construction places abrasive grains with spacing between them to help evacuate dust and other debris from the sanding task, preventing clogging of the cutting edge. The load-resistant coating allows the disc to continue cutting even when sanding softwoods, paints, and other materials that would otherwise clog the disc and hinder sanding performance. All of this results in higher productivity and reduced material consumption. For maximum dust extraction, use this disc with a low-dust 3M™ Hookit™ sanding pad and a random orbital sander with a vacuum (both sold separately).
