Fine and adaptable
3M™ Polyester Tape 8911 is thin and conformable, ideal for masking in high temperature applications and adheres well to silicone-coated surfaces. Clear backing resists breakage. Coated with a silicone adhesive, this tape is used to mask powder coatings and achieve crisp paint lines. It can be removed from most surfaces cleanly and in one piece, preventing ripping and tearing. This tape also excels in permanent splicing operations on silicone coatings, papers and films that are subjected to high temperatures. This tape is a clear version of our 3M™ Polyester Tape 8901.

With good chemical resistance and transparency, this tape is very effective for protecting labels when subjected to various chemicals and solvents. The pressure sensitive silicone adhesive works in a wide temperature range from -50°C (-60°F) to 204°C (400°F).
