The 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ DP100NS Epoxy Adhesive is a versatile, non-sag structural adhesive for general-purpose bonding. It works on a variety of substrates, including metals, ceramics, concrete, and wood. With high tear resistance, it delivers strong, rigid performance, making it ideal for multiple applications in the electrical, construction, consumer goods, and general industrial sectors. It has a 5-minute work time and reaches handling strength in 15 minutes. The mixing ratio for 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ DP100NS is 1:1 for fast and precise dispensing. With its 5-minute work time, you can reposition parts for precise alignment. The adhesive reaches handling strength in approximately 15 minutes and fully cures in 48 hours at 22°C (72°F).

What Are Epoxy Adhesives?

Epoxy adhesives, including 5-minute epoxies, belong to a class of adhesives called “structural adhesives,” which also include polyurethanes, acrylics, and cyanoacrylates, among others. These adhesives are formulated as reactive liquid polymers that undergo a chemical reaction when mixed and then cure to form a solid plastic material. Once the two parts are mixed in the specified ratio, they begin the curing process, offering a limited work time during which the adhesive can be applied, and surfaces can be positioned as needed. This work time can range from a few minutes to several hours.

Structural adhesives provide high shear and peel strength, depending on the formula, as well as superior resistance to heat and chemicals compared to common adhesives.
