3M™ Sandblast Stencil – Hand Cut Splice Free 507 is a general purpose sandblast stencil used for hand-cut and die-cut operations. The green colored, rubber backing offers a smooth, butter cut. A rubber adhesive and polyethylene, high release liner ensure ease of use and application.

3M™ Sandblast Stencil – Hand Cut Splice Free 507 is a 43.0 mil, green, rubber backed sandblast stencil with a rubber adhesive and green polyethylene, high release liner. This tape backing cuts easily and provides clean and visible cut marks, making it ideal for hand-cut stenciling. An advanced rubber backing formulation helps prevent stretching and design distortion and offers easy alignment and easy blast-through. In addition, the backing features a uniform thickness to help ensure efficient plotter cutting. This backing provides excellent blast resistance in order to withstand heavy blasting used to create crisper and deeper images. 3M™ Sandblast Stencil – Hand Cut Splice Free 507 is mounted on a dark green polyethylene high release liner for ease of use and application.

Recommended Applications

• Protecting marble or granite during sandblasting operations with single-process technique and straight blasting; two-process shape carving; and die-cuttable applications using plastic letters and designs
• Gasketing, cushioning and other applications where heavy, uniform caliper is desired
• Letterpress applications
• Hand-cut and die-cut applications

It is recommended that this stencil not be applied to cold stone because of possible condensation forming on the surface when placed in warm areas. It should be applied to a warm, clean and dry surface. To minimize shrinkage and distortion, allow the stencil to relax after removing the liner and before applying to the stone. Rub down firmly to adhere stencil to the stone surface. Use 3M™ Sandblast Filler #2 to help increase adhesion and hold to the stencil to polished stone surfaces.
Adheres to Marble, Granite and Stone
3M™ Sandblast Stencil – Hand Cut Splice Free 507 features a rubber adhesive which adheres to numerous surfaces, including marble, granite and most stone. It also offers excellent adhesion to most polished stone. When finished, this tape removes cleanly and in one piece to assist with clean-up processes.
